My name is Brett Widerman, founder of Simple Sod NC. As a local from Wilmington, NC, I have always had a passion for lawn care and turf management. In the summer of 2021, I noticed a gap between large scale sod farms in Wilmington, NC, and the small scale retail consumer, which made it difficult for the average homeowner to purchase affordable, fresh sod. I earned my MBA from Barton College, and since then, my mission has been to provide the most convenient and affordable sod purchasing experience for all levels of consumers. This includes everyone from experienced lawn professionals to those who have never considered purchasing sod before and don’t know where to start. Let's keep sod simple!
