My name is Brett Widerman, founder of Simple Sod NC. As a local here from Wilmington N,C. I have always had a passion for lawn care and turf management. In the summer of 2021 I noticed a void between large scale sod farming, and the small scale retail consumer, making it difficult for the average homeowner to purchase affordable, fresh sod. I earned my MBA from Barton College, and since then it has been my mission to provide the most convenient, and affordable sod purchasing experience for all levels of consumers. Ranging from the experienced lawn professional to someone who has never considered purchasing sod before, and doesn't know where to start.
